A copy of what appears to be a hand-assembled sample book of 9 mounted color photos, which are reproduced images of stained glass work, featuring images from Maxfield Parrish illustrations: #1. a 3 1/2 x 4" glossy color photo based on Parrish's "The Lantern Bearers" (see plate #22, in Coy Ludwig's, 1973 book: Maxfield Parrish) with size of piece added in white penciled letters at bottom on black paper page: 42 3/4 x 33 3/4; 2. a 3 1/4 x 4 3/4" color glossy based on Parrish Oriental theme-woman holding cup in market place; Lamp Seller of Bagdad (plate 38 in Ludwig), 41 3/4 x 26 3/4; 3. 3 x 3 3/4" color glossy based on Parrish Medieval scene-woman kneeling at oven, with man standing, (not shown in Ludwig), 30 3/4 x 25 1/4; 4. 2 3/4 x 3 3/4" color glossy based on Parrish's The Dinkey Bird (plate 2 in Ludwig), 30 3/4 x 22 1/4; 5. 3 1/4 x 4 1/2" color glossy of prince & frog; The Frog-Prince (Figure 64, p. 98 in the Ludwig book), 36 1/2 x 26 1/2; 6. 5 3/4 x 4" color glossy of three robed girls with lutes; Music; Lute Players (Figure 100, p. 163 in Ludwig book); 7. is a 4 1/2 x 3" color glossy of the image in number 6, reduced, 27 1/4 x 41 3/4; 8. 4 3/4 x 3 1/4" color glossy of detail of The Pied Piper (plate 44, p. 150 in the Ludwig book), this photo is held in by 2 strips of "invisible" cellophane tape; 9. 6 3/4 x 2 1/2", color glossy of the full scene of Pied Piper (p. 150 in Ludwig), 20 3/4 x 58 1/4. Size of booklet: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2", consisting of 8 leaves of black photo album paper, bound with black plastic binding strip & clear, acetate plastic covers, printed label was pasted to front cover, former owner has re-attached it with "invisible" cellophane tape; front cover & edges show some fading/sunning; tape on edges of printed label & photo # 8, as described; otherwise color photo repros. are clear & bright. Undated,(from about late '60's to '70's) we have no other information as to how many of these booklets were produced, or whether these Parrish-themed stained glass pieces were made by C. W.
