Solid 3rd printing exlib hardcover in pictorial rust cloth boards, Innards tight and bright w/occasional fingerprint and two small closed page tears from turning. Pocket neatly removed but all pages present. DJ in new mylar is a professional reproduction that displays beautifully. Paul Brown's first large picture book illustrated in four colors. Young Sparkie Parker lived on a farm but dreamed of ranches, Indians and cowboys. When he had the chance to go to a real western ranch, he met Puff Ball, a pony with personality and a mind of his own. Sparkie learned a good deal about riding and about Puff Ball's individual ways.
