The first volume of the official government gazette for the province of Southland, covering the period from 1861 until 1863. Volume One, Numbers 1 through 71. 3 August 1861 through 14 December 1863. Various contributors, including James A. R. Menzies, Superintendent of the Province; Theophilus Heale, Chief Surveyor / Provincial Engineer; Jas. T. Petrie, Poundkeeper; J. B.
