Book has a tight binding and clean pages. There is some staining on the inside cover and end papers and some staining on the fore edge. Some black and white illustrations and maps are included in the book. The name of the previous owner is written in colored pencil on the inside end paper. The dust jacket is covered in plastic which is taped and may be the cause of the stains inside. 909 pp. World renowned author James Michener presents "believable characters in dramatic situations that are true to the times that produced them." This well researched book tells the history of the Holy Land from 12,000 years ago to more modern times and how all of western civilization has been shaped by this region of the world. Shelf: B-2.
