This is a large study of German medieval music, focussing on the period of the minnesingers, who were lyric poets of the 12th-14th centuries who performed songs of courtly love. It includes an anthology of minnesongs, including music, and German and English lyrics, illustrations from original manuscripts and a record with recordings of some of the key songs from the period performed with accompaniment on period instruments. This copy and its dust jacket are both in Near Fine condition and the record is present and also appears to be in excellent, playable condition.
