Contemporary light brown polished calf, on both sides gilt oval coat of arms with motto 'Non est mortale quod opto', gilt back with label (spine-ends and corners somewhat damaged, slightly rubbed).*Palau No. 369281. Not in De Backer-Sommervogel (Cf. VIII, 779-780). The Jesuit Bernardin de Villegas (Oropesa 1592 - Madrid 1653) was professor of humanities, philosophy and theology. He founded the College of Badajoz and was Provincial at Toledo. The translator L. Flori was also a Jesuit. - Library stamp 'Erberg' on engraved and printed title: of Baron Josef Kalasanz Freiherr von Erberg (Ljubljana 1771 - Ljubljana 1843).
