Published at the Unanimous Request of the Grand Jury and Bar of Suffolk. Boston: Printed by John Eliot, Court Street, 1813. 32 pp. Octavo (8" x 5"). Disbound stab-stitched pamphlet. Light browning, light foxing to several leaves, early owner name, "John M. Williams," to head of title page, chipping to corners of title page, following leaf and final leaf. $75. * Only edition. A tribute to Parsons [1750-1813], the great Massachusetts jurist who was chief justice of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts from 1806 until his death. The former owner of this pamphlet was probably John Mason Williams [1780-1868], a lawyer who became a justice of the Massachusetts Court of Common Pleas in 1821 and the chief justice of that court in 1839, a post he held until his death.
