Hardcover, pictorial paper-covered boards on red cloth spine, 8x10.5", 40 pp. 18 songs with music, each facing a full colour page illustrating the song: the rows of objects move up or down to parallel the lines of notes in the little songs. In order; bees, flowers, sparrows, ducks, workmen, clocks; sheep; birds, flowers, horses, mushrooms, savages, ships, stars, angels, candles, tress, snowmen, birds. For the cover the American publisher has chosen the savages and changed their color to black, giving the entire book an unfortunate racist tone. Ships well protected in cardboard .
