Many illustrations in the text by a cross-section of the leading illustrators and graphic artists of the day including EDWARD BAWDEN, GRAHAM SUTHERLAND, BARNETT FREEDMAN, WILLIAM BLAKE, HENRY MOORE, ERIC RAVILIOUS and others.
