Un-clipped dust jacket is complete, displays well and is a professional reproduction in new mylar. Includes 8 full page & 27,half page line drawings. Published Autumn 1939, there was possibly an earlier issue published in Jan 1939, this may be the second printing. Includes an Adam & Charles Black promotional pamphlet laid in. Fourth in the author's series about native British ponies, here his accurate observation and understanding combine in the story of Sheltie, a pony from the Shetland Isles, first on its native hillside above Baltasund, then on the journey by road south to England, in a circus, at a pony show, and finally as the trusted mount of an English girl.
