Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. No date but circa 1850; T. Ross was probably Thomas Ross, Mayor of Hastings who wrote and published other travel books about that time. Pink and blue gilt stamped and decorated oblong 8vo wraps, seventeen steel engravings with tissues by J. Newell. Wraps soiled, chipped along spine especially at ends, chipped at top front corner, tissues are all toned, engravings are toned around perimeter, Fairlight Glen is bound in upside down.
