The first volume with a contemporary inscription that translates to "A gift from the editor", the second volume with a stamp that reads "Presented to The Jacques Maritain Center by Professor Maritain", each volume with an "M" stamp on its first blank leaf. The Jacques Maritain Center celebrates the life and work of Maritain and his wife Raissa, and is housed at the University of Notre Dame. Each of these works are collected from a series of lectures given by Maritain. An interesting association copy of these works.
