A good opportunity to acquire a good usable copy of the 8th edition of this relatively rare overview of early English diplomacy. No Dust Jacket. Cover: burgundy coloured cloth covered boards with gilt lettering to spine; clean and gilding bright; rubbing to all edges and splits to top of spine, front and rear, but otherwise intact. Internally: clean and soundly bound; beginning of cracks to hinges but holding at present; no markings, inscriptions or book pates apart from a neat inked number to front paste-down; generally clean but some pencil underlining and a very few neat inked comments.
