Hebrew Psalter/Book of Psalms, first published in Wittenberg 1566, edited by Hieronymus Opitz (1542-1578), who studied at Wittenberg and became professor of Hebrew at Jena. 'The prelim. matter includes title, dedication (1566), Latin verses, and the Prayer of Habakkuk in Hebrew. The text is followed by some notes'. (Darlow-Moule). The preface contains a Neo-Latin poem by Martinus Henricus Saganensis (of Sagan in Silesia), professor in Wittenberg. - Somewhat browned; tear in one leaf repaired, old ownership entry on fly-leaf.[(1602)].
