Previously folded map with outline color. Two holes at fold junctions along horizontal center fold, one southeast of Kabul, the other in the hill well to its west. Color coded by ownership, with a key in the bottom right margin. Excellent topographic detail. Includes the northwestern part of current Pakistan and parts of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. An interesting feature of this map are notations in the left margin indicating the latitudes of American cities (New Orleans, Charleston, Memphis, and San Francisco) which correspond to the area shown. These were clearly designed for an American audience with very limited familiarity with the location or size of the region to get a feel for its geography. Seller Inventory # m01348
