About this Item
Broadside, measuring 5½" x 16½". Horizontal fold in the center, the top margin with glue residue on the verso, faintly seen from the front but not affecting the image, a few bumps, very good. The image shows a snowy New York cityscape featuring the Chrysler building and a pair of pigeons in the bottom corner. The author has Signed beneath the image and written (or titled the piece) "Greetings." Janet Turner was a master printmaker, naturalist, and art educator. She earned a Ph.D. in education from Columbia University Teachers College in New York City, after which she was hired as a professor of fine art and art education at California State University, Chico (1959-1981) and founded the University s printmaking program.
