xxiv, 416 pp. Rebound in half leather (blue calf) and blue cloth for The Church of England Grammar School, Melbourne, whose seal is reproduced in gilt on the upper board. Cloth is rubbed and lightly stained. Leather is worn at corners, and sunned along the backstrip, which has raised bands and bright gilt lettering. Bright marbled endpapers, with a little wear to corners of both front and back free endpapers. All edges of text block are marbled. Prize sticker (Christmas 1911) to front pastedown. Internally unmarked and solidly bound. Illustrated with b/w drawings in the text and on plates, and eight maps and plans, two of them fold-out. Three fold-out tables of dynasties and family trees, some a little wrinkled, but with no noticeable tears. Size: Octavo. Seller Inventory # 003296
