Bound without the separately issued title page issued by Mortimer, for use in binding up copies of the novel from the magazine. Includes the separately issued portrait of Ainsworth. Precedes the first book issue(1844) which contained only 9 of the Cruikshank plates. The last Ainsworth novel illustrated by Cruikshank.
