About this Item
t.p. (with small, quite faint and short early owner's name top outer corner, this quite inoffensive)+xxii (much taken up with chronological chart starting with 4004 BC Creation)+345, marbled edges, endpapers and pastedowns, heraldic book-plate centre fr.pastedown of James Milnes Stansfield 'Nosce Tripsum'; internally otherwise cleann tight and unmarked but tanning/foxing spots intermittently throughout, fairly inoffensive, bound in place-marker; covers have some rubbing to corners and, very lightly, to boards, gilt-lettered panelled spine faded but otherwise very good with small gilt panel dec. and label with just trace of rubbing. An unusually good example of this kind of early school text-book, a genre especially vulnerable to damage and inscriptions etc. Intended for use with same author's Atlases of Modern and Ancient Geography (both 1822) to which chapter head references are made throughout. Just spotted one opening with brown patch caused by a pressed leaf, now removed! Size: 14 Cms x 22 Cms. Seller Inventory # 011729
