32pp., paper cover, b&w illustration on front cover, bound by string, heavy spotting and marking on front cover, back cover missing, corners worn and creased, bottom edges torn, intermittent discolouration throughout, writing within completely legible. Hanah More determind on publishing a series of pamphlets "Cheap Repository" to counter "the vulgar and penny books that were always common." Between 1795 and 1798 she published 3 a month and distributed some 2 million. copies. With their fragile format it is not surprising that few copies remain. Size: 7.25" x 4.75".
