This 9.75 x 10.75 inch, 311 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is the first edition of this title by the American publisher, Frederick Praeger in 1967. This copy is in near fine condition with only a very small bump to the bottom corners being a condition for the covers. The light-brown cloth with black decoration on the front and black lettering on the spine are as new. The interior shows a previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown but the remaining text is free of any markings, handling wear or damage. The printed list of illustrations for the book is laid in loosely. The text pages and numerous photographs are in fine condition as this work was an early archaeological treatment of the Inca people and their past empire. The dust wrapper is in very good condition with some chipping and crinkling at the spine and one three-quarter chip on the bottom edge. Otherwise a very nice copy of this still-valuable work. 311 pages. Seller Inventory # 1505-647
