Tan cloth with elaborate green and brown cover decoration of a compass and a man on a horse. Appears unread. Text is clean and white, no marks. Illustrated throughout with drawings by Lee J. Ames. DJ shows rubbing and tiny chips to head and heel of spine, minor edgewear. Wonderful cover art. "People prick up their ears when they hear of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, for the Canadian Mounties have become the most famous police force in the world. There were only about 150 of them at first. Their job was to maintain peace and justice in Canada's great Northwest.
