586 pp. with extensive full-colour and B/W illustrations. Usual ex-library markings. Besides some dog-eared pages, wear seems to be derived from the massive size of the volume rather than extensive use. The lower corner curls slightly forward from sitting on a shelf, the pressure of which has also tugged slightly at the back free endpaper, which is showing signs of stress along the spine. Minor edgewear at upper spine. "Comitato nazionale per le celebrazioni del pontificato di Sisto V (1585-1590), Centro di studi sulla cultura e l'immagine di Roma."
