Ownership label of James Stirling on front pastedown. A firm, clean copy with numerous illustrations. The dustwrapper is complete but pulled to the head of the spine panel with a short open tear with some loss. Loosely enclosed is a disbound copy of the Zwemmer catalogue of July 1966 with an introduction by George Melly and photographs of Magritte, E.L.T. Mesens, Georgette Magritte and Paul Delvaux at a private view in Brussels by Michael Cooper (page1) and Raymonde Sauvage (page 12). In addition there are 6 monochrome plates and 24 listed items with a statement by way of a preface by Magritte taken from a postcard published by RHETORIQUE in 1963. Seller Inventory # 004217
