Prior ownership of prominent American Lutheran Charles F. Schaeffer, with his manuscript ownership to front endpage. Contents are complete and generally neat, though the binding has had heavy brown library tape placed over the spine with a call label at atil. Front and rear endpages have a piece of presumably non-archival tape reinforcement in their hinge. Several library ink and blind stamps to front matter. Bookplate to front pastedown. Just light toning and a bit of very mild spotting scattered among the book's pages. Uncommon in the original edition. Could be rebacked with success. Fair to good, though, only.
