In good condition. Finely bound.18th century binding. Small areas of darkened discoloration to front board. Light cracking to hinges with small area of damage to head of spine. Gilt work bright and clean on spine. Spine in six segments with raised bands. Attractive printer s device on front title page. Text is relatively clean with the exception of pages 144-177. staining from possible flower pressing. Has left small holes in text. Unmarked. Binding tight and intact. Please see photos. 1st edition. Felibien s examination of the architects from classical antiquity through the Middle Ages is best known for its final chapter, the first serious attempt to examine the architects who built the great Gothic cathedrals of France in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
