Early MID-CENTURY Edition - Classic Mother Goose rhymes. Stated 1945 edition (originally issued in 1916) - fabulous with original period illustrations. No Dust jacket. Yellow and black checker-board cover has bumped/worn corners and spine edges with overall very light soil to cloth. Green and white checked end-papers. A few pages have short closed tears along bottom margins (no more than 1" and none impacting text or illustrations.) Beautiful full page color plates, plus many smaller illustrations. A listing of all the Rhymes (page 5 & 6); and an Alphabetical List of First Lines, (pages 7-9). There are two items circled in ink/crayon on this last listing. A few pages have been professionally repaired with tape. Scattered light foxing throughout. Still a fabulous and awesome early edition.128 pages. Protected in a mylar slip. Seller Inventory # 000041
