Ex Libris plate on front pastedown. Previous owner's inscription on front free endpaper. Dark blue boards with lettering and insignia on front and spine. Corners and spine bumped. Edges and corners are well thumbed and rounded. Spine is split at the back hinge. Well rubbed and heavily worn in some places. Binding is sturdy, yet one plate illustration plate is loose. Edges, pastedowns, free endpapers are discoloured, more so at the head edge. The occasional page has some light foxing and staining, otherwise this book is in good condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously; they usually present better than they sound.
