Many black and white illustrations of early equpment and engineers, radio, television, telephone. Navy cloth covers with gilt titles. Lenox R. Lohr's copy with his name stamped in gilt on the top cover . Lohr, 1891-1968 was a contributor to the development of Chicago's lake front, organizer of exhibitions, including the Century of Progress and Chicago Railroad Fair, long time president of Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry and promoter of civic and charitable causes.
