With a figure of each sort drawn from nature on stone by his (the author's) daughter, folio, [xii] 91pp., 42 Good quality uncoloured lithographed plates, half calf, later reback with green lightly patterned cloth boards and black morocco spine with five raised bands and gilt lettering, very slight wear to bottom edges, neat repair to edge of p.17 otherwise pages clean and text bright, beautifully illustrated and handsomely bound copy of this decorative and informative work by the noted nurseryman from Brentford, describing little-known apples with intriguing names such as `Kentish Broading,` `Noblesse de Gand` and `Hoary Morning,` each with its own illustration.
