This 6.125 x 9.25 inch, 16 page softcover booklet is the 1913 program Live Oak and Sutter County Agricultural, Fruit and Livestock Show. This original pamphlet is in good condition although there is considerable time-wear showing to the brtick-red card-stock covers with extensive black printing and a small photo of the ?Main Canal, Live Oak Colonies? on the front panel - - and with a large advertisement on the rear cover panel for ?Hauck?s Pharmacy? in Marysville. The front cover lists five men?s names from the Live Oak Business Men?s Association - - J. A. Rice, W. H. Stafford, Geo. Thompson, W. T. Francis, and H. Henrichsen - - and their further committee titles. The interior text pages are in good condition but show time-wear with just a bit of red offsetting probably from the red covers - - to the text pages. The title page states ?Live Oak, California - Sutter Counties Coming Metropolis - The Town of Live Oak invites you to become one of its citizens? with subsequent four paragraphs briefly describing the town of Live Oak - - which is ?Destined to be one of the leading cities in the northern part of the great Sacramento Valley.? Other than that the following text pages are simply advertisements from Live Oak, Gridley, and Marysville. One full-page ad features Northern California?s Northern Electric Railway - - along with banks, furniture stores, general merchandise, medical doctors, railroad warehouses, etc. - - all filling out the assortment of advertisements. 16 pages.
