Hardcover. The red cover has the title in dark red surrounded by a geometric design, the title on the spine is also in dark red. The boards are lightly soiled, the corners do not look bumped and there is only one very small nick to the top edge of the front cover; the back cover has a couple of marks and some light soiling also. The endpapers although aged are very clean, the frontispiece is a black and white photo of "Tennyson's lane, Farringford"; the interior is aged, but clean with no markings. 144pp with biographical and the index.
