This is the 1954 Gnome Press first US hardcover edition, with "First Edition" and LCCN 54-7257 on its copyright page. Currey says of this publication, "Three bindings, priority not established for first two". This is the Currey "B" binding: black cloth boards, with title in red on its spine. This book is in very good condition, marred only by light bumps on its cover's corners and spine ends, some faint foxing on its end papers and pastedowns, and a trace of spine lean. Its binding is sound, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn. Pages are unworn and otherwise unmarked, with some typical age toning. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is also in very good condition, bright, unmarked, and mostly whole, marred only by a 1/4" chip and light wear in the top of its spine, a tiny chip and light wear in the bottom of its spine, and some light soiling or foxing on its back. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description. Seller Inventory # 003253
