Small 8vo. Hardcover. Pp. 176. In very good condition; quarter-cloth over leather boards. Gilt title on cover and spine. Slight shelf-wear including light wear along the edges, with minor rubbing top and bottom of the spine. Corners lightly bumped, and bottom left corner of rear board lightly creased. Other faint scuffs and marks. Pages themselves are clean and unmarked with light foxing. One of only 300 copies printed in 1937. Ponsin On Conjuring is a compilation of tricks written by J.N. Ponsin and translated by S.H. Sharpe. In his preface Mr. Sharpe expressed the opinion that Ponsin's work was the first practical work on conjuring in any language.Three hundred copies were printed, one-hundred-fifty copies were bound in cloth, and another twelve copies were bound as presentation copies in tooled green leather.
