Four beautiful antique uniformly bound volumes of George Meredith's poetry. Included in this set is "Poems: The Empty Purse, With Ode's to Comic Spirit, To Youth in Memory, and Verses" (printed in 1892); "A Reading of Earth" (printed in 1888); "Poems and Lyrics of the Joy of Earth" (printed in 1883); and "Ballads and Poems of Tragic Life" (printed in 1887). The books are overall in very good condition with just some minor signs of wear and age. The covers only have some minor wear. The bindings are good and sound. The interiors are lightly toned from age but generally nice and clean, though there may be the occasional page with a light bit of foxing or grubbiness. Along with that there may be the occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection, such as a creased page corner, tiny chip or tear, etc. Generally though, it's a very nice set. The books measure approximately 7 inches by 5 inches and are 136, 136, 181, and 160 pages long. Seller Inventory # 305725520841
