Very good copy of what is effectively the first collected edition of Galsworthy's plays, first published in 1929, in the this case the 4th impression from 1935. Dust Jacket: Plain Green paper with black lettering to front and spine; price of 8s 6d on spine and text on front reading 'this volume contains all the twenty-seven plays of John Galsworthy including "The Rood," previously unpublished.'; some small tears, chips, marks and creases to jacket but largely present and intact and of a good colour (now protected). Cover: dark green boards with gilt lettering to front and spine; no fading, only the slightest bumping. Internally: very clean and tight, only occasional marks, gift inscription in green ink to front free end paper; Possibly sold uncut or cut unevenly in places 1150.
