Map in fair to good condition, clipped or trimmed very close at edges, but the printed surface, aside from the neat line borders, is totally intact. Lots numbered, some land owners along the edges of the subdivision are named. Uncolored. This area is in southwest Cambridge, just west of M.I.T., in the vicinity of Hastings Square (one of the land owners named is Hastings). Some streets have their modern names and locations, while others were subsequently renamed, added or rerouted to their current form. While the condition is not optimal, this in nonetheless a very early printed subdivision map for a nearby suburb of Boston, from a time when few such maps were printed.
