A beautifully illustrated and formatted edition of the famous work (with 'many Wood Engravings from Drawings by SELOUS, PRIOLO and FRISTON'). See images for examples of the quality of the illustrations. Also, includes a Life of Bunyan by the Rev. John Brown. The crimson red cloth boards and spine are strikingly and elegantly designed. This is in spite of the considerable fading and bumping. Condition: as well as this fading, the spine is very fragile and is semi-detached from the book block; revealing some of the internal binding materials. The internal contents is, however, in a sound condition; with slightly tanned pages plus occasional spotting, but very few blemishes overall.
