Although not stated, this was originally published as "An Exhibition of the Petroleum Industry, University of London, April 5 to April 27 1951" (also titled "A Pictorial Survey of the Petroleum Industry"), with the exhibit credited to the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company and Shell Petroleum Company. Possibly the nationalisation of AIOC just weeks before the exhibit went ahead had something to do with the removal of these credits. It provides a 100 year view starting with its growth in 1850, and explains the technical aspects of exploration, drilling and production, refining, movement, marketing and research.
