Spring 1948 printing of the 1946 second and best edition featuring the additional illustrations of Picasso's work in Paris during the Second World War. Original white publisher's variant binding blocked in blue. Slight spotting as usual to the fore edge otherwise a firm, clean copy in complete dustwrapper showing price 10.6d. net loosely protected in mylar. Denys Sutton's illustrated Observer review (October 25th 1953) 'Picasso in Lombardy' of the exhibition at the Palazzo Reale, Milano neatly tipped on to the edge of the rear free endpaper.
