Albumen photograph of a young man sailing, possibly racing, from the late 1860s. The photograph is taken from an angle below his waist, he sitting with one hand on the wheel and the other on the gib line, and looking past the photographer at the sea. Cabinet card, blank verso. A bit faded, with some light surface marks, card a little rubbed at edges. A compelling image. Seller Inventory # 18210
