Oblong 8vo 8" to 9" tall; 102 pages; 7th edition. Oblong format. The general title page, the title page of the second part, and the music are engraved. 2nd title page is in letterpress. This example lacking covers. The first extant page is the engraved title page and the last is page 102. The index calls for a hymn on page 103 but with no other pages indicated following 103. Bibliographic information calls for 110 pages. Engraved title page for the 2nd (pp [77-78] part is tipped in on page 79. Text block soundly bound. Engraved fronmt title page a little rubbed and nicked at edges with expected light toning and soiling. Contents generally neat with just light finger soiling and mild toning. A few pages with a short closed tear in the front or bottom margin. Presumably lacking at least one page at rear (and perhaps more - though not called for in the index). Lacking endpages and boards. Modern owner has added the 1801 date in ballpont to a blank area of the engraved front title. Uncommon and important American tune book in a later edition. With faults. Fair only, thus.
