16mo. 3.75 x 5.125 in. 544 pp. Full rich green crushed morocco, titled in gilt on spine, with elegant handwrought silver illustration with floral motif affixed to upper cover; lush dentelle with marian blue silk endpapers, all edges gilt. Fully illustrated with one-third-page vignettes and full-page engravings from the Life of Jesus by Bouasse-Lebel and Massin. Besides the Ordinary & Propers, also contains prayers, hymns, and Psalms. An elegantly bound copy of a beautifully made handmissal of the French bourgeoisie, from the time of St. Thérèse of Lisieux. Very good, presenting almost as nearly fine. The Ordinary of the Mass has been well-loved; traces of rubbing & soiling to endpapers & corners. Binding square & sound, text clean & bright. 1891 ownership inscription in pencil.
