The program of the honoring of Dr. Paul S. Smith for his role as President of Whittier College. Signed by graduates, Richard Nixon, class of 1934, who received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree and author Jessamyn West, class of 1923), who wrote "Friendly Persuasion". Inscribed to Dick Parker with best wishes, Jessamyn West and Richard Nixon. Jessamyn was Richard Nixon's second cousin and author of "The Friendly Persuasion" which was made in to a movie and had written several other books. Seller Inventory # 028915
