First edition, SECOND impression (1924); 3pp of adverts for the author's other titles; identical to the first other for the 'Second Impression' statement to the title page. Very Good: firm and square binding in sharp red boards; lightly faded to the spine and rubbed to the spine tips; toning and light foxing to the edge of the page block; small dusty stain to the top of the block by the binding; previous owner's elegant bookplate to the front pastedown and signature and date to the ffep; spotting to the endpapers, prelims and final few pages; otherwise, the occasional isolated spot or mark internally - fundamentally crisp and clean pages. Lacking the dustwrapper. An attractive early printing. All orders are sent very carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and sturdy cardboard. Seller Inventory # M538
