2019 [reprint of 1962 edition with modifications] 314 pages + 16* black imitation leather/gilt & round edges/2 ribbons The reprint of this book is in response to priests and seminarians soon to be priest for a portable book to administer the sacraments and perform those ceremonies and blessings most frequently used in the traditional Tridentine rite. This is an exact reprint of the 1962 edition of the Parish Ritual compiled and edited by the Fathers McManus & Babo. We made some modifications of the text as far as the Psalter and English translations are concerned. To accommodate priests who wish to follow the traditional Psalter, we took out the Pope Pius XII Psalter (known as the Pian Psalter in some circles) and we replaced it with the St. Jerome Latin Psalms found in the Vulgate. And as far as the translations are concerned we followed the Douay Rheims translation instead of the Confraternity edition. Also, we added a 2nd appendix in response to requests for supplementary ceremonies and prayers. This ritual should serve well the needs of traveling priests. The book should stand up to extensive use, being sewn, as it is, and bound with a bonded leather binding. One could add that this book is a sort of "Collectio Rituum". [NEW].
