A Fair one-of-kind oversize (16 in. x 12 in. tall) account book maintained and reflecting in hand-written notations the receipts and expenditures of the Annunciation Catholic Church of Leadville, Colorado for the period January 1, 1984 through December 31, 1900. Black leather half-bound in brown leather with a paper label on the upper board. The upper board is only loosely attached as there is significant erosion along the front spine edge and a reinforced front hinge has been partially defeated by gutter tears in the bottom six inches of the front paste-down. The boards have well rubbed edges and corners and the surface is also rubbed and has some staining. One apparent black ink stain on the upper board includes a diagonal streak across the paper label. The free front end paper is torn and creased, and there is some smudging to the title page with creases in the lower corner of the first several pages. A few pages in the 'Monthy Acount' portion of the account book appear to have been torn out and re-stapled into the book. Still all entries appear fully legible and complete, with no currently loose pages. Marbled page edges. All in all an intriguing item from the church in which the 'Unsinkable Molly Brown' was married in 1886. **Extra charges will be required to cover postage cost on an order requesting expedited and/or international shipping.
