Final leaf (list of subscribers) trimmed and tipped onto back fly leaf. Overall a good plus copy. Newspaper clipping containing a letter from Taylor to the PATRIOT, regarding his book, tipped to back pastedown. Second edition, with additions, after the first of 1849 printed in London, Canada West. This work appears to be made up of the sheets from the original edition (pp.1-168), with an added section, of different type and paper, headed, "Extra Matter for second edition" (pp.169-188). Focuses on the economic future of Canada, obtaining markets for Canadian produce, but also includes the author's plan to bring together all Protestants into one powerful united religious body.
