The Orphan Blind Girl. By Anna C. Smith & printed in Baltimore by James Young. 1865, 175 pp, 7 x 4.5 , 8vo, hardcover cloth binding. As-is, with back board and end pages mostly detached from the bottom. Looseness to front board and some loss to binding at head and heel of spine. Text block remains bound well until end of book. Marginalia and markings, including a school prize inscription at back. Includes 2 illustrations at back on early devices used by the blind, including an early alphabet similar to Braille. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing.
