The leather bound edition was published in an edition of 500 of which this copy is #303. Inscribed by William Turner to a previous owner on the limitation page "To X, on your 70th birthdays, Bill Turner. 12/8/95" Turner has a drawn in pencil the head of a huron beneath the signature. Leather with gilt titles and page edges, 234 pages, illustrated. The slipcase has pastedown illustrations on both front and back. Turner has a drawn in pencil a somewhat unconvincing buffalo beneath the signature. Of course, buffalo have never part of the Chesapeake Bay region ecosystem and Turner does quite well with sketches of local fauna within the text. Leather with gilt titles and page edges, 245 pages.
